Since independence from France in 1960, the north-central African nation of Chad has undergone four civil wars. These Chadian Civil Wars have drawn interventions from France, Libya, Sudan, Zaire/Congo, and the United States. The current civil war is also connected to the ongoing Darfur War in neighboring Sudan.
