Since
independence from France in 1960, the north-central
African nation of Chad has undergone four civil wars.
These Chadian Civil Wars have drawn interventions from
France, Libya, Sudan, Zaire/Congo, and the United States.
The current civil war is also connected to the ongoing
Darfur War in neighboring Sudan.
